Strawberry Suede & Christmas Parties.

Song I'm Listening to Today: Lights "Boots"
A perfect day so far.  I had the day off, so I really really enjoyed it- especially after this crazy week.  I got a massage, bought some pretty lipsticks, got Starbucks in a "for here" cup, sat down to really enjoy it, and took my little ferocious looking puppy on a walk.  Now, I am off to a Christmas Party. I swear to you that my Starbucks was so much better than it is in their paper cups. You all should try that sometime, plus you get more sprinkles!  I am so excited to wear my new lipstick tonight.
Revlon "Strawberry Suede"
"To me, it's really so simple, that life should be lived on the edge. You have to exercise rebellion. To refuse to tape yourself to the rules, to refuse your own success, to refuse to repeat yourself, to see every day, every year, every idea as a true challenge. Then you will live your life on the tightrope." -Phillope Pettit

Sunday Night In.

Some things I am going to miss about home... baking in my own kitchen, getting catalogues in the mail, watching movies in my theatre, playing Frank Sinatra songs on my baby grand, my puppy cuddling with me, and my overly comfortable bed.
Secret recipe.

Cheers.

Some friends and I went out to my favorite restaurant last night, The Med in Boulder.  I love the atmosphere of this place, it is always busy and the food is incredible!  It makes me feel like I'm in Europe again. I love that you can get many different Tapas (small dishes) and share with the table, and they are so inexpensive.  This is perfect for someone as indecisive as me.  But the best part is their White Sangrias!!! Oh my goodness, I could not stop drinking these- they are dangerously good.  The waitress would just laugh at me because every time she came to the table I would ask for another.
I think all 6 of us had our eyes shut as we enjoyed this heavenly Creme Brulee.  Yumm...

Sugar & Sugar.

Attempting Caramel Apples for the first time with my lovely A.
Oreo's are my new favorite midnight snack for my new show Vampire Diaries.
I love random trips to FoCo in the middle of the week.  We made the most amazing punch:

Jenee's Perfect Party Punch
Fruit Punch Vodka
7Up
Orange Juice
Grenadine
Slices of Kiwi & Oranges

Play Pretend.

One of my favorite things about Christmas time when I was a little girl was curling up underneath the tree and staring up into the lights.  This time of change is scary, and I'm surprisingly excited for the winter season because I feel this need to hold onto anything that makes me feel safe and comfortable.  My brothers and I growing up made the most massive, amazing tents in our basement, and I hold onto that feeling of safety that "home" brings me.

Autumn Air.

I have to admit, I haven't been very inspired lately.  It has really been a challenge for me to find things that make me feel happy or good inside.  Everything just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Today, I searched and searched for something, anything, that i could feel inspired by or happy about.  As I was walking across campus, purposefully stepping only on the crunchy looking leaves, i remembered how young I feel.  How, being 7 or 10 or 13, it all seems so recent for me.  I remember blissfully raking up the leaves in the front yard with my brothers, trying to make it as big as possible, and then jumping in it.  I admit that fall has that certain indescribable wistful feel to it- and i honestly love it- right at the end of summer and the beginning of fall.   Sometimes, I think its good to remember what made you happy when you were younger because we didn't have the cloud of stress, work, relationships, and clutter that is in our lives as we grow up.

Wash Park.

Today has been a fabulous day of wine, bud light lime, volleyball, sunshine, and enjoying a monday off of work and school with new friends at wash park.

On my way to Wash Park (my favorite park in CO), I went to the liquor store and I found this cute bottle of delicious white wine.

Wine always makes me feel good- it's not like any other drink- it just makes me feel happy and content.   Its smaller than a waterbottle and it packs 3 glasses of wine into a tiny little pouch.  I love it! I want to buy one for everyone I know :)  The best part: it's only $2!!!
